Minister Bevanda Talks with EBRD Director on Implementation of Multi-Million Worth Projects



Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda received Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Office in BIH Ian Brown.

The meeting analysed on-going EBRD-financed projects, as well as those to be launched soon, such as the “Blue Water” Project in Novi Travnik Municipality, since a signing procedure for EUR 11 million worth loan Agreement was completed with the EBRD.

Minister Bevanda stressed that the Project is extreme important for citizens of the Municipalities of Travnik, Zenic, Novi Travnik, Vitez and Busovača, which will be provided with a long-standing and high quality water supply form the “Blue Water” source.

As the required procedures were completed in both BIH and with the EBRD, the Loan Agreement will be signed next week, so that the resources needed for start of works might be operative as early as possible.

The meeting noted relevant on-going EBRD projects for construction of Počitelj-Buna section of the Corridor V c motorway, worth EUR 60 million, in addition to Zenica by-pass, where procedures need to be stepped-up in order to secure required funds.

Minister Bevanda assessed that the EBRD is long-standing partner for al levels of BIH authorities when in question infrastructure projects, and that such good cooperation should be continued in future.
