The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H receives Director for Enlargement and Communications Policy

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H dr Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo Director for Enlargement and Communications Policy of DG for Enlargement Dimitris Courcoulas. 

Courcoulas congratulated to Špirić on the Council of EU decision to lift visas for citizens of B-H. Chairman Špirić said that this decision came as a result of efforts by B-H authorities on fulfilment of all criteria required for its citizens to travel without visas to Schengen countries. Špirić assessed that this decision might serve as a new impetus for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers said that success in fulfilment of requirements and in overcoming the challenges ahead of B-H in the European integrations process depends on an internal dialogue of legitimate political representatives.

Courcoulas was interested in the current political situation in B-H and the process of establishment of authorities following October 3 General Elections. Chairman Špirić expressed hope that authorities will be formed as soon as possible at all levels in B-H.

At the end of the meeting, Coulrcoulas handed over to Chairman Špirić the European Commission Report on B-H Progress toward EU. (end)
