Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 49th Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision, proposed by the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety to form a Work Group to monitor situation and activities concerning possible construction of a nuclear waste disposal site on Trgivska Gora, in the Municipality of Dvor.
The Work Group includes representatives of both Chambers of the Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH, State-level Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Economic relations, State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety and sector Ministries form Republika Srpska and the Federation of BIH. Minister for Spatial Regulation, Civil Construction and Ecology of Republika Srpska Srebernka Golić was appointed the Work Group chair.
The Work Group is to secure coordination of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of BIH, Republika Srpska and local authorities concerning activities on potential construction of a nuclear waste disposal site on Trgovska Gora, Municipality of Dvor.
BIH AND MONTENEGRO IN AGREEMENT ON RATIONALISATION OF DIPLOMATIC-CONSULAR POSTS
The Council of Ministers of BIH defined a Proposal Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of Montenegro on co-location of diplomatic consular offices, i.e. their joint use.
This would considerably reduce the costs of diplomatic-consular offices of the two states, in addition to improving assistance to citizens and intensifying bilateral cooperation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BIH and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integrations of Montenegro will agree in a separate Protocol about diplomatic-consular offices to be used jointly, as well as on all financial and administrative-technical requirements for operation of each individual office.
The Proposal Agreement will be provided to the BIH Presidency for further procedure, and the BIH Minister of Foreign Affairs was proposed as the BIH signatory.
BIH PARTICIPATION AT EXPO 2016 IN TURKEY AND TRIENNAL IN MILAN CHANCE FOR BUISNESS COMMUNITY PROMOTION ABROAD
The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision, proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, on participation of Bosnia and Hercegovina at the International Horticulture Fair - EXPO 2016 Antalya, Republic of Turkey in April 23-October 30, 2016.
The session granted tis consent to BIH Ambassador in Turkey Damir Džanko to sign an Agreement on BIH participation at the International Horticulture Fair “Children and Flowers” Expo 2026, under the moto “Maintenance of Green Life for Future Generations”.
Total BIH cists at EXPO 2016 will be KM 766,000.00, of which sum the Republic of Turkey will cover pace rental and pavilion construction costs in amount of 697.000. The residual of KM 69,000 will be secured by Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would be spent for development of fair space project, its maintenance and preparation of promotion materials.
Also, the Council of Ministers of BIH granted its consent to allocate from current grants of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations KM 50,000.00 for BIH participation at the International Fair Triennial, in Milan.
Tis event will be held in time between April 2 –September 12, 2016 in Milan under moto “21st Century – Design after Design”, for which the Republic of Italy secured a rental-free participation for BIH .
Funds for these purposes, as well as KM 50,000.00 for the 16 + 1 Business Forum (China + 16 counties of Central and South Europe) in early May will be secured from a grant of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations for support to fairs and other events.
Participating at such events, the business community of BIH will be given a chance to make contacts among business people from around the wold and to promote domestic production.
LIGHTERS SAFE FOR CHILDREN
The Council of Ministers of BIH took a decision, proposed by the Market Supervision Agency, to place on market lighters safe for children, having “E” mark, which confirms a certain level of harmonisation with the relevant EU legislation.
The aim of the decision is to secure a high level consumer health protection, especially targeting children in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He decision prescribes safety requirements for placing to market lighters safe for children, and it forbids placing to market of BIH lighter attractive to children.
The BIH Market Supervision Agency will in three months’ time issue instructions for the decision implementation and practical application, and will post it to his web site.
DEFINED PROPOSAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN BIH AND AZERBAIJAN ON ROAD TRANSPORT
The Council of Ministers of BIH defined a Proposal Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on International Road Transport, which regulates transport of goods and passengers.
The regular line and part-time (extraordinary) transport of passengers and transport of goods between the two countries (bilateral transport and transit to and from the third countries) will take place based on mutual agreement of competent authorities and will be subject to a system of permits to be issued by competent authorities of the two countries.
The Proposal Agreement will be provided to the BIH Presidency for further procedure, and the BIH Minister of Communications and Transport as proposed as the BIH signatory.
APPOINTED ACTING DIRECTOR OF BIH ARCHIVES
The Council of Ministers of BIH appointed Saša Klepić for Acting Director of the BIH Archives.
