Zvizdoć – Arbamov: To Improve Trade and Economic Cooperation of BIH and Russia

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić received Ambassador of the Russian Federation in BIH Peter Ivanov and Director of the Technical Regulations and Metrology of the Russian Federation - ROSSTANDART - and Deputy Chairman of the Inter-Government Russian-Bosnia-Herzegovinian Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation Alksey Abramov with his associates. 

Chairman Zvozdić informed the visitors of the current political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that BIH is ready for continuation of good cooperation with Russia in the areas of education and science and that there is a room for improvement of trade and economic cooperation.

Director Abramov said that the Russian Government tries to decrease trade barriers and to approximate Russian economy to the world market.

Chairman Zvizidć and Director Abramov discussed possibilities of settlement of clearing debt worth clearing $ 120 million, indebted on exchange of goods between ex-SFRY and ex-SSSR. They agreed that this issue should be solved by the end of this year.

They also agreed to prepare for signature agreements of double taxation avoidance and on promotion of foreign investments.

The meeting assessed that the bilateral cooperation of the two states is good, but that they may be further improved.
