Zvizdić-Zaoráalek: Stability of BIH as Precondition for Stability of Western Balkans

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić received today in Sarajevo Minister of Foreig Affairs of the Check Republic Lubomir Zaorálek, and informed him of realisation of aims of Bosnia and Herzegovina on its road to the European Union. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina overcame stalemates and that it works hard on fulfilment of requirements, in order to submit its application for the EU membership as soon as possible. 

Chairman Zvizdić and Minister Zaorálek agreed that political bilateral relations between BIH and the Check Republic are very good and without outstanding issues.

Chairman Zvizdić welcomed today’s holing of a Business Forum between Check and BIH companies, hopeful that these contacts will be an incentive for improvement of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Zaorálek informed Chairman Zvizdić of activities of the Višegrad Group, chaired by Check and on establishment of a Western Balkan Countries’ Fund, which should be signed at the next meeting of the Višegrad Group. He also said that the Check Republic is a partner to which BIH may rely, and offered the experiences of his state from the transformation period.

Chairman Zvizdić said that the stability of BIH is a precondition for stability of the Western Balkans, and in regard to that he stressed the importance of the European and NATO road of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, Chairman Zvizdič sent an invitation on to Check Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
