Zvizdić – Tusk: To Focus to Accession-Related Priorities that Integrate and Democratise Entire Region

Chairman Zvizdić informed President Tusk of the reform processes in BIH. He said tha the ultimate goal of the reforms is the betterment of the living standard of BIH citizens and membership in the EU and NATO. He stressed that in BIH there is a positive reform momentum reigning and that it is very important for integrative processes to move ahead, so that BIH, and other countries of the region, would remain focused to the accession-related priorities, which integrate, develop, democratise and pacify the entire region.
President Tusk said that BIH made visible results in the past 14 month, after seven years fo stalemate and moved on decisively along the European way. He reiterated a strong support to the European road of BIH and related reform processes. He said that he is traditionally great friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and always engaged when support to BIH is in question. He commended the role of Chairman Zvizdić and the Council of Ministers of BIH for the reform momentum that accelerates the road of BIH. Chairman Zvizdić said the regional cooperation and building-up of good relations is among priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that BIJH takes an active part in all regional processes, and this year it presides over the Central European Initiative (CEI), and will host the Brdo-Brijuni Process Summit of Leaders, in addition to a positive experience for Bosnia and Herzegovina of presiding the Council of Europe.
He stressed that BIH is fully ready and capacitated for further breakthrough on the European road, and expressed his expectations that it would be recognised by our European fiends. Chairman Zvizidć invited President Tusk to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina and mark one of positive events on tis European way.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Directorate for European Integrations of BIH Edin Dleiberović.
