Zvizdić – Reichel: Interests of Both Germany and EU Is for BIH to Prosper

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Sarajevo with Political Director of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge for the Western Balkans, Turkey and EFTA counties Ernest Reichel on the up-coming reform processes designed to accelerate the Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić noted a positive political will within the Council of Ministers of BIH for realisation of the reform agenda, and expressed his expectations that the Entity Governments will endorse the offered reform plan. He briefed Director Reichel about new projects BIH develops as a part of within IPA process and of preparation of new strategies for transport, justice and security sectors aimed to intensify European integrations process of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He said that the primary aim of the Council of Ministers is to strengthen economy through SMEs development focused to youth employment and implementation of new ideas. In that regard, a set of legislation on food, veterinary, agriculture and rural development in BH are underway which would create a legal framework for placing potentials of BIH into the service of economic development and youth employment.

Director Reichel reiterated interest and support of the FR Germany for reform processes in BIH, stressing that the importance of having functional all-level governments ready for reform undertaking. He added that everyone expects positive moves in BIH, as interest of both Germany and the  EU is for Bosnia and Herzegovina to prosper.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the FR Germany in BIH Dr Chrstian Hellbach.
