Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH dr. Denis Zvizdić talked today in Sarajevo with Head of Office of the World Bank for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro Tatiana Prokuryakova on future cooperation and World Bank projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the focus of activities of the Council of Ministers of BIH is the economy, primarily improvement of business environment to boost new investments and job creation. He added that the Council of Ministers of BIH, in cooperation with Entity Governments and international partners will prepare a package of socio-economic reforms aimed to improve BIH economy competitiveness and improve living standard of BIH citizens. He stressed that it is rightly from the World Bank that he expects an active assistance and expertize, especially in a form of  support to the Entity Governments, where the major part of the reform efforts in relation to registration and operation of business entities is to take place.

Head of the WB Office Prokuryakova briefed Chairman Zvizdidić of current activities of the World Bank in BIH. She underlined that the World Bank at present makes an analysis of the situation in BIH, within preparations of a new strategy approach to Bosnia and Herzegovina. She added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country of potentials which need to be used in order to attract new investments, generate jobs and improve living conditions for the people. She said that the World Bank is a partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina who is here to help through expertise, credit liens and funds.
