Zvizdić – Orban: Unquestionable Support to Euro-Atlantic Integrations of BIH

They agreed that the political relations between the two friendly countries are excellent, and bilateral cooperation intensified though a continued cooperation of institutions and joint bodies.
Chairman Zvizdić underlined a need for strengthening of economic cooperation of the two countries. He pointed at comparative advantages of Bosnia and Herzegovina for investors, and briefed Prime Minister Orban of the progress BIH has made on the European road, stressing the importance of cooperation of respective chambers of economy. He welcomed the setting-up of a regular air-line Budapest-Sarajevo and the establishment of a joint business council, saying that these moves will contribute to strengthening of economic, business and cultural relations of the two countries, including the touristic promotion.
Prime Minister Orban commended the progress of BIH on its European road, expressing a full support of Hungary to the Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He encouraged authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to continue reform process, which would bring the country closer to the EU, and expressed his hope that BIH will get the EU candidate status soon. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the status of an “honourable neighbour” in the Hungarian foreign policy, and that it will remain among foreign policy priorities within Hungarian actions in the EU, strongly focused to the further enlargement.
Chairman Zvizdić thanked to Prime Minister Orban and Hungary for the continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina within the EU institutions. He expressed the interest of BIH for participation in the EU projects of cross-border cooperation with Hungary, as well as in joint export ventures of BIH and Hungarian companies at the third markets.
Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr Denis Zvizdić congratulated to his Hungarian colleague for an excellent organisation of the Summit of 16 of Central and Eastern Europe Prime Ministers and the People’s Republic of China (16+1), held in Budapest, as well as the Economic-Trade Forum of Businessmen from the Summit participating countries.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH Igor Crnadak and BIH Ambassador in Hungary Aleksandar Dragičević.
