Zvizdić – Keqiang: Agreements Signed Incentive for continuation of Successful Cooperation 

Chairman Zvizdić expressed his satisfaction with the political relations and promotion of economic cooperation of the two countries over the past several years. He said that the idea and project “Single Belt – Single Road” and annual summits of Prime Ministers of PR China and Central and Easter Europe in the “16+1” format already yielded results. He added that an Economic Forum of businessmen of the Summit 16+1 participating countries was successfully held last year in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a high-level Summit on Tourism a few days ago.

Chairman Zvizdić said Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with great potential for tourism and investments thanks to its extremely good geographic position and rich natural resources. He pointed at the increasing number of tourists form China, and in regard to that, he welcomed yesterday’s signing of an Agreement of mutual visa lifting BIH and PR China for holders of ordinary passports between, hopeful it would increase interest with Chinese citizens to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina as tourists, but will additionally facilitate communication and linking of businessmen. He said that a Final Loan Contract was signed, which will help start one of the major post-war energy projects  in BIH -  development of Thermal Power Plan in Tuzla “Block 7”  - and an Agreement on Agricultural Cooperation of Competent Institutions of BIH and China, which provides for a momentum for further continuation and deepening of successful cooperation.

Prime Minister Keqiang expressed his pleasure with the advancement of relations and for the important projects got in their finalisation phase to mutual benefit, which makes Bosnia and Herzegovina a credible partner. He commended the economic and political progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed the readiness of the PR China for continuation of a successful economic and cultural cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH Igor Crnadak and BIH Ambassador in Hungary Aleksandar Dragičević.
