Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Skopje at the margins of the Western Balkans First Digital Summit with Prime Minister of Kosovo* Ramush Haradinaj. They discussed the current bilateral and regional issues.

Chairman Zvizdić said that the building of peace and stability in the Western Balkans remains the permanent aim of Bosnia and Herzegovina and that our country will welcome and support any continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Priština in solving the outstanding issues. He added that the underlying guidelines of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s foreign policy is that all disputes in the region should be solved through and peacefully with mutual respect of all parties involved.

They discussed the improvement of economic relations and concluded that the foreign trade exchange between BIH and Kosovo would be much higher if the existing visa regime would be improved to enable faster and more effective flow of people and goods, because both businessmen and citizens are currently affected by effects of the existing visa regime.

Chairman Zvizdić and Prime Minister Haradinaj discussed the sanctions Kosovo intends to impose against BIH on milk and dairy products, and agreed that this decision should be prolonged until a meeting of competent Ministries representatives, scheduled to take place in the next seven days, when solutions are expected to be found in line with positive practice. Chairman Zvizdić said that for the sake of future generations, countries of the region should move ahead and strengthen friendly relations, develop transport, energy and digital infrastructure, and adopt EU standards in a systematic fashion.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Transport and Communications of BIH Ismir Jusko.(end)
