Zvizdić – Hahn: European Union Doors Open for BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvzdić received today in Sarajevo European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, with whom he talked on the remaining requirements Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to meet in order to receive the European Union questionnaire as early as possible. 

Emphasising that the European integrations are the key priority of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chairman Zvizdić informed Commissioner Hahn of dynamics and realisation level of agreed-to measures. He noted the final phase of the Coordination Mechanism text completion, adding that the Council of Minister at its session yesterday adopted a report on finalisation of negotiations on adaptation of the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement of BIH, to be forwarded today t the BIH Presidency.

Chairman Zvizdić informed Commissioner Hahn of preparations for the Third Western Balkans Summit, to take place in Paris next month.

Commissioner Hahn commended the progress and congratulated for good macroeconomic indicators realised by BIH. He said that the doors of the European Union are open for BIH, which should, hopefully, receive a questionnaire during the chairing term of the Slovak Republic of the European Union.

Both Chairman Zvizdić and Commissioner Hahn hope that all in Bosnia and Herzegovina will show their commitment to fulfil the remaining European Union requirements.

The meeting was attended by EUSR and Head of EU Mission in BIH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.
