In connection with the announced sequel of the Indirect Taxation administration Steering Board session, where a Proposal Excise Law is expected to be adopted and sent to the Council of Ministers of BIH, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić urged on the Steering Board, especially its Entity representatives, to reach an agreement on the text Law, which will be featured by the required level of transparency and clearly defined the allocation of the funds to be collected.

“From all relevant public reflections by holders of legislative and executive authorities, it comes evident that funds to be collected from the increased excises to fuel should be used and allocated exclusively for construction of roads and motorways in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Only the use defied as such would create preconditions and open real possibilities for the Law adoption. The excises increase process was launched for the purpose of construction of roads and motorways, with an aim at starting a new investment cycle, increasing total competitiveness and creating  possibilities for job geenration.

Therefore, all true advocates of new investments in the road construction sector, expect the Excise Law to be the reflection of such development ideas and plans”, Dr Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH stresses.
