Zvizdić – Erginay: To Improve Economic Cooperation of BIH and Turkey

Ambassador Erginay congratulated to Chairman Zvidić for appointment and wished him success in his work, as well as success of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina in all fields. He stressed that the relations of BIH and Turkey are at the up-ward trend, which is to be crowned by soon-to-happen official visits of high ranking officials to sign a series of bilateral agreements to formalise the existing good cooperation.
Chairman Zvizdić thanked for congratulations and expressed his thankfulness also to the Republic of Turkey for its continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially noting a recent EUR 100 million credit line, which helped employ nearly 6.000 people, mainly in the agricultural sector. He informed Ambassador Erginay of the Council of Ministers priorities, underlining both SAA and AMP activation by the end of the year, to move BIH strongly towards the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
Chairman Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina wants the improvement of economic cooperation of the two countries, especially in the areas of tourism, energy, agriculture and infrastructural development. He stressed that BIH is interested for linking touristic agencies in order to present as good as possible, touristic potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Turkey. In that context, Chairman Zvizdić commended activities of the Tika, Turkish Development Agency in BIH, engaged on reconstruction of cultural-historic monuments and sites, which represent an important cultural bridge between the two countries. He mentioned the existing interest for connecting companies for joint activities at third markets, as well as for the transfer of know-how and experiences in SMEs organisation as an axis of development and employment.
Ambassador Erginay said turkey undoubtedly supports the Euro-Atlantic integrations of BIH.
