Zvizdić – Danielsson: Historic Step Today for BIH to EU

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Brussels with Director-General of the European Commission Directorate for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Christian Danielsson. 

They discussed realisation of conditions, which Bosnia and Herzegovina received form the European Union. Chairman Zvizdič said BIH has implemented measures as scheduled under the Reform Agenda, adding that all requirements for today consideration of BIH application for membership in the European Union were fulfilled. He said he expect BIH to get a positive response today and that the Commission will be assigned to prepare a questionnaire for BIH.

Chirstian Danielsson congratulated to Chairman Zvizdić for the progress Bosnia and Herzegovina has made over the past period of time, saying that today’s consideration of the application is a historic move for BIH on its road to the EU. He underlined that the European Union will continue in future to support Bosnia and Herzegovina, noting the importance of reforms implementation for the well-being of all citizens. They touched upon the IA II projects, as well as projects defeend under the Transport Strategy.
