Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked today in Sofia, at the margins of the 16+1 Summit with Prime Minister of Romania Viorico Dăncilă on the improvement of bilateral relations. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the bilateral relations are good, without outstanding issues, hopeful that the bilateral cooperation would continue and develop for the mutual benefit. He briefed the Prime Minister of Romania of current political developments in BIH, reform processes, and on-going activities in terms of fulfilment of foreign policy priorities and aims of our country, namely, Euro-Atlantic integrations and regional cooperation. He said that our country is interested for tighter political and economic cooperation with Romania.

Chairman Zvizdić said Bosnia and Herzegovina is an active participant at all regional initiatives and processes and that it is supportive of all activities leading to connectedness, stability and economic development of the region. He said it is very important for the region to continue with positive development trend and remain in the focus of its European partners. He said he is hopeful that Romania, as the state which takes on the EU Chairmanship from Austria,, will keep the Western Balkans at the focus of its term.

Prime Minister Dăncilă said Romania wants to strengthen cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the economic one, by way of connecting of chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs. She noted that she is aware of the additional questions received by BIH, saying that she expects that the answering to those will be finished soon. She added that Romania is ready to extend both political and technical support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to step-up the European accession process, stressing that Romania will during its term of chairing keep the Western Balkans at the European agenda.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Communications and Transport Ismir Jusko and BIH Ambassador in Bulgaria Radomir Bogdanović.
