Zvizdić – Corrias: Economic Reforms and EU Integrations Are Council of Ministers Mission

Chairman of the Council of Ministers od BIH dr. Denis Zvizdić received in Sarajevo Ambssador of the Republic of Italy in BIH Ruggero Corrias, with whom he discussed the current political developments in BIH and cooperation with Italy. 

Chairman Zvizdić emphasised that the mission of the Council of Ministers od BIH is to overcome the existing situation and absolutely prioritise the economic development of BIH, to include implementation of system reforms required for the Euro-Atlantic integrations, improvement of business environment and living standard. He said that a positive political atmosphere prevails in the Council of Ministers and readiness for action in view of the acceleration of European integrations. He added that it is very important in terms of security and economy to have soon activation of the MAP.

Ambassador Corrias expressed a full support of Italy to the Euro-Atlantic integrations of BH and entailed reform processes. He said that Italy, as well as the rest of Europe is eager to see positive moves in BIH and that reforms will prove Bosnia and Herzegovina as a credible partner. He added that Italy is interested for strengthening of economic cooperation with BIH in the banking sector, in which it is already traditionally present, and that there is also interest for development investments in the infrastructure sector.

Ambassador Corrias sent an invitation to Chairman Zvizdić to be a guest of honour at the performance of the Milan Scala in BIH, on July 12, in Sarajevo. He said that the concert is a friendly gift to Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrating 20 years of peace, and will additionally strengthen cultural relations of the two counties.
