Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Denis Zvizdić received in Sarajevo Ambassador of the USA in BIH Maureen F. Cormack, with whom he discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for the US support extended thus far to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the post-war reconstruction and assistance after devastating floods last year. He stressed that the USA takes an outstanding place for it is a genuine friend and ally to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He informed Ambassador Cormack of the priorities of the Council of Ministers of BIH, saying that the absolute priority task is to  prepare a Law on Budget of BIH Institutions, the draft of which is expected to be finalised as soon as next week.

Chairman Zvizdić said the strategic determination of the Council of Ministers of BIH is to step-up the Euro-Atlantic Integrations, specifically to bring into force as early as possible the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement and join the MAP. He underlined an intention to strengthen cooperation with Entities in efforts to develop socio-economic reform agenda, since the majority of the reform implementation efforts lie at Entity level. He added that he expects cooperation and support from the USA in the areas of rule of law and combat against any form of crime.

Ambassador Cormack said that the US support to Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina is unquestionable. She expressed pleasure with the positive results made to date in cooperation of the two countries in combating terrorism.
