Zvizdić, Bevanda and Šarović with Commissioner Hahn

Chairman Zvizdić expressed his pleasure with the achieved results of the Council of Ministers during his mandate on the EU integrations road, reminding that a whole set of activities and measures has been implemented, form the SAA taking effect, adoption of a set of whole-state strategies, important realisation of the Reform Agenda and growth of key macro-economic parameters, coordination mechanism, as well as the fact that the Council of Ministers of BIH provided a harmonised package of answers to additional questions under the EC Questionnaire.
He said that the previous year was extremely important for BIH and the Western Balkans in the context of the EU prospects, and that BIH citizens appreciate an intensified engagement of the EU in the region, which was additionally fortified by issuing of a Strategy of Credible Enlargement Perspective.
He touched upon the regional cooperation, saying that the European Commission was over the past period of time a true partner in promotion of positive processes and creation of encouraging narratives within the region, as well as concerning the relation of the region towards the EU member-states.
Chairman Zvizdić expressed his optimism that one of positive stories from the region this year will be the one concerning Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“We truly hope that year 2019 will be market in the history of BIH as the year we made an important breakthrough in the EU integrations process by obtaining the EU candidate status” Chairman Zvizdić said at the meeting, emphasising the importance of such progress for the youth in BIH.
Chairman Zvizdić invited Commissioner Hahn to be a guest at the Euroepan Bank for reconstruction and Development Board of Guvernors Annual Meeting and business meeting – investment conference – both to take place in Sarajevo on May 7 – 9, 2019.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Directorate for European Integrations Edin Dilberović and Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BIH Lars Gunnar-Wigemark.
