Welcome of Angela Merkel with Highest State Honours

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who arrives on Thursday to official call to Bosnia and Herzegovina will be solemnly welcomed in Sarajevo with highest state and military honours. Chancellor Merkel and Delegation of the Federal Republic of Germany will meet with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić. 

Earlier, Chancellor Merkel said to her hosts that besides the existing difficulties, the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina along its way of European integrations is evident, with good chances for BIH to join the European Union. Chairman Zvizdić Merkel’s message views as very positive signal and encouraging message for all-level authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to get engaged even stronger to realisation of key priorities, which are the European integrations, economic development and rule of law.

During her visit to BIH, the German Chancellor will, accompanied by Chairman Zvizdić, visit the “Gallery 11/07/95”, the first memorial gallery in BIH, an exhibition devoted to the memory of Srebrenica tragedy and 8,372 tragically killed persons in Srebrenica genocide. Following the visit, Chairman Zvizdić will address to media, and photos from the gallery visit will be available to the public.
