Vrankić: B-H to Accelerate Construction of Border Crossing

Head of the managing Board of the Indirect Taxation Administration, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Dragan Vrankić, who presides over the Board for Supervision of Four Sections on the Corridor V c Motorway (sections planned under an Agreement with the EBRD), initiated today’s meeting in Sarajevo with representatives of State-level Ministries, namely Ministry of Finance and Treasury, Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Security, Indirect Taxation Administration, Attorney’s Office, and Public Company “Motorways of FB-Hs” for talks on activities on Počitelj-Bijača section (Kravice-Bijača sub-section) of the road and Bijača border crossing.
In view of the obligations assumed, and as the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of B-H and Government of the Republic of Croatia on Construction of Southern Border Sections of Motorway on Corridor V c and Bijača Border Crossing was initialled on February 22, 2011 in Sarajevo, the Republic of Croatia conducts final activities on mentioned border crossing, while activities of Bosnia and Herzegovina are somewhat delayed.
In regard to that, it was concluded that an expert team, comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Indirect Taxation Administration, Public Company “Motorways of FB-H” and IGH Project Developer, is expected to develop, within the next three days, an expertise with clearly defined tasks for the Public Company “Motorways of FB-H”, and propose measures needed for acceleration of works on construction of Bijača border crossing and Bijača-Kravica sub-section of the road.
A report on related activities will be submitted to the Council of Ministers of B-H.
