The state-business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by the Deputy Chairman Zlatko Lagumdzija is paying an official visit to the United Arab Emirates



The state-business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina headed by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Zlatko Lagumdzija is paying an official visit to the United Arab Emirates where today, on March 6, 2013 met with Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE Sheikh Lubna Al Qasimi.

The representatives of the B&H national companies also attended these meetings where the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries aimed at finding the most suitable ways of investing in B&H and possible concrete steps were discussed. In this regard, it was agreed to urge the signing of the Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments between B&H and the UAE, as well as some other bilateral agreements that will create an appropriate legal framework for the promotion of economic cooperation.

Dr. Lagumdzija invited Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Minister Lubna Al Qasimi to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to continue with concrete talks.

The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the headquarters of the Development Fund of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi Fund for Development) and Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala Development Company) in Abu Dhabi where they had successful meetings at which they discussed concrete projects in the field of infrastructure. It was agreed that representatives of Energoinvest, Electricity power industry of B&H and the Motorways of the Federation of B&H propose the projects that will be discussed at the next meeting of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Investment Fund. The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has also visited the headquarters of energy company Masdar.

The meetings were attended by representatives of the Motorways of the Federation of B&H, Energoinvest, Hidrogradnja, Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska and Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of B&H, B&H Gas, Electricity power industry of B&H and Union Bank.

In the framework of the official visit of the state-business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Arab Emirates, the Business forum was organized in Dubai today in which participated 100 businessmen from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the United Arab Emirates.

The business delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina consists of representatives of more than 50 companies from the entire country who will participate in the Business forum Bosnia and Herzegovina-United Arab Emirates to be held in Abu Dhabi tomorrow.
