PRIME MINISTER ERDOGAN INVITES BEVANDA TO OFFICIAL CALL TO TURKEY

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met today in Mostar with Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybecki, with whom he talked about the current economic and political situation in BIH. 

Chairman Bevanda thanked to Turkish people for their support having been extended to Bosnia and Herzegovina for quite a time.

He informed his interlocutors of the activities the Council of Ministers currently implements on its way to the European Union, underlining that BIH is focused to the structural reforms along with the strengthening of the rule of law.

Chairman Bevanda said BIH and Turkey have no outstanding issues between them or unresolved problems, which is a solid precondition for enhancement of economic cooperation. According to Chairman Bevanda, there is a lot more potential for exchange of goods then currently used, and this should be considered as a priority for the future.

Minister Zaybecki conveyed to Chairman Bevanda words of appreciation from Prime Minister Erdogan and his invitation to visit the Republic of Turkey. He expressed his pleasure for the meeting took place in Mostar, which represents a conjunction of different cultures, peoples and histories. He  added that he came to BIH with a motto: “endless friendship – endless trade”, saying that the future period of time should be devoted to the promotion of cooperation in all segments. He stressed that the Republic of Turkey supports all efforts made by BIH ton tis way to the EU, NATO and the World Trade Organisation.

The Turkish Minister of Economy was accompanied by representatives of 35 leading Turkish economic entities, MPs and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BIH Ahmet Vildiz.
