The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held today its first session in a new composition, when it took separate decisions on appointment of Chair and Members of the  Internal Policy Committee and Economic Committee of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to comply with the Law on the Council of Ministers of BIH and to create conditions for effective operation.

The Internal Policy Committee will be chaired by Minister of Security Dragan Mektić, and his Deputy will be Deputy Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović, while Committee Members will be Minister of Defence Marina Pendreš; Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Semiha Boroavac, Minister of Justice Josip Grubeša, Director of the Directorate for European Integrations Nevenka Savić, and Director of the Legislative Office Dragan Podinić.

The Economic Committee will be chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda, his Deputy will be Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, and Committee Members  will be Minister of Communications and Transport Slavko Matanović, Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak, Director of the Directorate for European Integrations Nevenka Savić and Director of the Legislative Office Dragan Podinić.

Committees Chairmen and their Deputies will rotate at the position of Chair on annual basis, and in case of absence of a Minister from a Committee session, he will be replaced by his Deputy.

According to the Law on the Council of Ministers of BIH, before being discussed at Council of Ministers session, all issues will mandatorily be previously discussed at sessions of the relevant Committee, whose members are from the Ministers competent for those specific issues.

 

The Council of Ministers designated representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international financial institutions, namely: the World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD, as follows:

Governor in the World Bank will be Chairman of the Council of Ministers dr. Denis Zividić, and Alternate Governor will be Minister of Justice of BIH Josip Grubeša;

International Monetary Fund Governor will be Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda, and Alternate Governor will be Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak;

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Governor will be Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, and Alternate Governor will be Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović.
