Ministry of Transport and Communications finalised the procedure for the recognition and replacement of driving licenses of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Australia



The Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Embassy of BiH in Canbera, has finalised the procedure for the recognition and replacement of BiH driving licences in Australia.

At a meeting held in early November this year, the competent authority of Australia „AUSTROADS“, which is the representative of the Association of authorities responsible for road transport and traffic in Australia and New Zeland, passed the Decision on full recognition of driving licences from Bosnia and Herzegovina in Australia.

With this decision, Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with other 26 countries, of which 20 are members of NATO or the European Union, and the remaining three are Japan, Singapore and Switzerland, is one of the countries whose driver's licenses are now being recognized by the competent authorities of Australia.

Thus, the procedure for the replacement of a driving license from Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Australian driving licence is possible without taking any additional theoretical or practical driving tests.

According to information from the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canbera, this Decision will begin to apply within two to six months time.
