Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Vrankić talked with a Delegation of the World Bank Office in B-H, led by Head of Office Abnabela Abreu.

The interlocutors emphasised very successful cooperation and outstanding results in the WB Programme Execution in Bosnia and Herzegovina, implemented despite political and financial difficulties faced by our country, and they expressed their hope for the continuation of partnership.

Head of Office Abreu informed Minister Vrankić that the implementation of the WB Programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina is at a higher level than in other Western Balkan countries, and that it is ahead of some other regions, as well.

The meeting discussed a need for implementation of structural reforms, to include the issues of high unemployment and economy competitiveness, which are the focus of the new WB Strategy for Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2012-2015 period.

The importance of the 2012 Budget adoption was pointed out, along with a concern because of a stalemate in the reforms which are criteria for further Entity Budget support, especially in view of the up-coming wave of economic crisis.
