Minister Špirić Talks with Representative of OSCE Chair

Deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo on June 9 Minister for European Affairs of Ireland and representative of the OSCE chair Luicinda Creighton.

Minister Špirić informed the representative of the OSCE Chair on the activities undertaken in BIH for fulfilment of obligations towards this European organisation, especially in the area of human rights protection and implementation of Sejdić-Finci Award.

Minister Špirić welcomed successful presiding by Ireland over the OOSCE, and said that BIH priorities in respect to the OSCE will continue to be fight against terrorism, protection of human and minority rights, and fight against human trafficking.

The Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH expects the presidency of Ireland over the EU next year to be successful for BIH, which, according to the latest Road Map from Brussels, should submit its application for the EU candidate status by the end of this year.

According to Creighton, BIH enjoys a full support of Ireland on its EU way, and tis authorities should be encouraged to complete their part of job in order to get BIH join the European Integrations as soon as possible.
