Minister Špirić Receives Ambassador of Palestine in BIH



Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Dr. Nikala Špirić met in Sarajevo today with Ambassador of Palestine in BIH Haled Alatras.

Ambassador Alatras informed Minister Špririć of current developments in the Middle East and of the situation concerning the peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel.

Minister Špirić said he supports all peace efforts, and stressed that the peace and dialogue have no alternative.

“Unfortunately, the people in BIH have learned what the price of peace is; therefore I strongly support the continuation of the peace process. Even when it seems difficult to achieve, all efforts should be invested to reach peace”, Špirć said.

The Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH assessed that BIH has made a series of positive breakthroughs since the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and that there is still a serious work ahead concerning reforms to take the country further towards the European Union.
