Minister Hadžić Talks with Head of EBRD Office in BIH



Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić received in Sarajevo today Head of the EBRD Office in BIH Libor Krkoska, with whom he discussed modalities of cooperation with the EBRD on construction of northern and southern motorway sections of the Corridor V c.

Minister Hadžić and Director Krkoska reached an agreement that the motorway links should be constructed with EBRD and BIH’s co-financing, with a tender under EBRD criteria.

Minister Hadžić expressed his content with the cooperation with EBRD to date and said that about EUR 180 million are in the process of implementation for Corridor V c. These are the Tarčin-Vlakovo motorway,Vijenac Tunnel and Bijača-Međugorje motorway, which is expected to be finalised by the end of 2014.

Head of the RBRD Office in BIH Krkoska informed Minister Hadžić on EBRD activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that out of total Bank profile, about EUR 1.4 billion or 43% are in the transport sector.

The meeting was attended by Ensad Karić Manager of the Public Company Motorways of the Federation .
