Minister Hadžić: BIH Takes Its Airspace Control Next October

Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić, Entity line Ministers and managers of competent agencies for BIH airspace control defined, at a meeting in the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH, October 2014 as the final deadline to taking over flight control over BIH skies.
“In the course of the past year, the competent Ministries, BHANSA, FEC CAD, RAS CAD and BH DCA have fulfilled all requirements for BIH to take over flight control over its skies next October. Under relevant airspace management strategies, the FED CAD, RS CAD and BHDCA are to get merged, thereby fulfilling the conditions for taking control over tis lower airspace until March 16, 2014, while October 2014 is the deadline for taking over a full control over its airspace. Today’s meeting is a confirmation of the successful work of State and Entity Ministries on a project which realisation has been delayed for years”, Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić said.
Funds for the BHANSA were secured from over flight fees, paid to service provider by the EUEOCONTROL (European Agency for Air Navigation Safety). By taking control over BIH airspace ant taking appropriate revenues from it, the Entity Governments will be released from their obligations they have to-date towards the Entity Civil Aviation Directorates in a total amount of KM 10 million.
A fight control system and network within ATM Project was successfully tested on May 7, 2012.
Minister Hadžić discussed with line Ministers also the implementation of the “Reconstruction and Modernisation of Sava River Waterway” Project to be financed by the Word Bank, and they agreed a joint meeting with World Bank representatives.
The meeting was attended by FBIH Minister of Transport and Communications Enver Bijedić,, RS Minister of Transport and Communications Nedeljko Čubrilović,, Đorđe ratkovica, General Manager BHDCA, , BHANSA Acting Manager Marin Raspudić, Amadeo Mandić FED CAD Manager, and Damir Ćopić SR CAD Manger.
