Ljubić-Bomberger Meting: to Solve Issue of Missing Persons

Minister for Human Rights an Refugees of BIH Damir Ljubić received in Sarajevo today Director General of the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) Kathryne Bomberger, with whom he talked on ways to solve the issue of missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
General Director Bomberger informed Minister Ljubić of the IPCM activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, staring from 1996. She pointed that the ICMP works continuously to support development of the state infrastructure and institutions to deal with the issue of missing persons.
General Director Bomberger said the IMCP took part in the development of legislation on missing persons of BIH, and that together with the Council of Ministers of BIH, it is co-founder of the BIH Institute for Missing Persons. She said that a pioneer operation of DNK method application in identification of remains was launched in Bosnia and Herzegovina, by which this process gained a high level of preciseness.
Mistier Ljubić thanked to General Director Bomberger for the previous ICMP engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and supported future joint activities of BIH institutions and the ICMP in operations of search for missing persons.
