Hadžić-Yildiz: To Improve Economic Cooperation of BIH and Turkey



Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BIH Ahmet Yildiz, with whom he discussed the modalities of improvement of economic cooperation of BIH and Turkey.

Minister Hadžić said that the political relations of BIH and Turkey are the friendly ones, but that they are not followed by equally good economic cooperation. He said that more efforts should be committed to lift the level of exchange of goods between the two countries, including an increase of Turkish investments to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the BIH economy might benefit from the positive performance of the Turkish economy.

Ambassador Yildiz agreed with a conclusion that the economic cooperation should be further promoted, and said that Turkey will continue offering its political support to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Minister Hadžić informed Ambassador Yildiz that he will attend the Euro-Asian Economic Summit in Turkey, starting from Wednesday, April 11, 2012, where he is to present the economic capacities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the priority infrastructure projects, as the motorway on the Corridor V c is.

Minister Hadžić used this opportunity to thank to Ambassador Yildiz and the Republic of Turkey for the support his country and himself have been providing continuously.
