Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Damir Hadžić talked in Sarajevo today with Head of Indirect Taxation Administration (ITA) Miro Džalkla and Manager of the Public Company Motorways of FBiH, Ltd. Mostar, Ensad Karić on acceleration of construction of border points Bijača and Svilaj.

In order to obtain the construction permit for border point Bijača, the ITA BIH will see to it to disburse funds intended for the expropriation of land, as a precondition for completion of the construction permit issuance procedure, undertook by the Public Company Motorways of FBiH, Ltd. Mostar.

The conclusion is that all activities relating to the construction of border point Svilaj should be coordinated between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH, ITA BIH, and Public Company Motorways of FBIH, Ltd. Mostar, in order to finalise the construction of the border point within the planned deadlines.

The Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić and Head of the ITA BIH Miro Džakula addressed a possibility of use of legally seized vehicles, currently in the custody of ITA regional centres. As to an ITA-provided list of seized vehicles, Minister Hadžić informed Manager Džakula that the Ministry of Communications and Transport Work Group cannot conduct a structural analysis since the data provided are incomplete. Since the vehicles were taken over by the ITA BIH from Customs Administrations of the Federation of BIH and Republika Srpska and from the competent Ministries of Interior, the ITA BIH will form a special committee to determine the real status of the vehicles, so that needed data might be completed.

The by-laws of the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH, especially the homologation regulations, are found not to be an obstacle to putting these vehicles in traffic. All documentation on this matter to be submitted to the Council of Ministers of BIH will be reviewed in coordination between the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH and ITA BIH:
