Fiscal Council of B-H Holds Its 23rd Session

The Fiscal Council of B-H held its 23rd session, devoted to B-H Global Fiscal Balance and Policy Framework for 2012-1015. 

The Fiscal Council members analysed macroeconomic and indirect tax revenues projections, along with projections of the General Budget Framework for 2012.

Within a discussion on Global Framework, Finance Ministers of B-H, RS and FB-H presented different proposals as to funding of B-H institutions. Finance Ministers are tasked to arrive at an agreed 2012 Framework Budget Proposal for next Fiscal Council session on October 26, 2011.

The Fiscal Council was informed today of a comparative review of salaries of employees in institutions at B-H level, Federation of B-H, Republika Srpska and Brčko District levels. The Advisory Group was assigned to make an additional analysis to cover data on gross salaries and other material costs in all-level authorities, with an aim at considering possibilities for additional savings.

The meeting discussed the continuation of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, when it was concluded that the IMF Mission will meet with the fiscal council on November 22, 2011.

The Fiscal Council session was attended by Deputy head of EU Delegation in B-H Renzo Daviddi and First Deputy High Representative in B-H Roderick Moor.
