DTA Signed with Poland

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić and Ambassador of Poland in BIH Anžej Kravčik singed in Sarajevo today an Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion in relation to Income and Property Tax between BIH and Poland.
Minister Špirić said that the Agreement will improve concretely the cooperation between BIH and Poland, bin addition to facilitating more intensive contacts between businessmen and citizens of the two countries.
He stressed that the essence of the Agreement is not to pay taxes, dir4ect taxes, in the two countries on one same principle, and which was also endorsed by the Entity Governments.
“The time ahead will be the time of a more successful cooperation between two extremely friendly countries, where there is space for the improvement of economic and any other cooperation”, Minister Špirić said.
He underlined that companies form Poland show interest to invest more in BIH, especially in the energy and mining sectors.
Ambassador Kravčik said that the signing of the Agreement represents a small, but important step towards the improvement of economic relations between BIH and Poland.
“I have served as Ambassador in BIH for a year now and during that time the interest with Polish businessmen for investments in BIH increased”, he said.
Kravčik added that the Agreement will contribute to normalisation of economic relations between the two countries and to additional efforts of BIH in the EU integrations process.
