CoM FAILS TO ADOPT PROPOSED CONCLUSIONS FOR TEMPORARY OPENING OF BORDE-CROSSIMG GRADIŠKA NOVI MOST – GORNJI VAROŠ
The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina held the extraordinary 77th phone session on the theme of collapse of a protective fence and a part of bridge on Gradiška border crossing, which caused full blockage of passenger and cargo traffic and pedestrians.
In two rounds of vote with six affirmative and two opposing votes (Minister of Foreign Affairs Elemdin Konaković and Minister for Human Rights and Refugees Selvid Hurtić) and with Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Minister of Defence Zukan Helez and Minister of Transport and Communications Edin Forto not using their right to vote, there was no adoption to a conclusion proposed by the Chairwoman of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina to task the Ministry of Security of BIH, Indirect Taxation Administration of BIH and Border Police of BIH to secure smooth and effective operation of temporary border crossing Gradiška Novi Most – Gornji Varoš
A piece of information by the Ministry of Security of BIH on a collapse of a part of bridge on Gradiška – Stara Gradiška border crossing and blockage of traffic was not adopted, nether was a of piece of information by the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BIH on collapse of a part of pedestrians’ lane on the bridge across the Sava River and closing of the inter-state bridge across the River Sava for traffic.
