Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Extraordinary Session

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted Information of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations on a request by institutions of Kosovo concerning the process of harmonisation of veterinary-safety certificate. 

The Council of Ministers considers it necessary to pass  the Kosovo institutions’ request onto the BIH Presidency, as the institution competent for foreign policy, pursuant to Article V point 3 paragraph a) of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina,

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations should inform the BIH Presidency of the issue urgently, so as to allow Presidency’s decision making in its relevant part.

The request of the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency refers to the import of dairy products in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The BIH Veterinary Office and Kosovo Food Safety and Veterinary Agency agreed on the contents of the veterinary-safety certificate in the expert and technical parts, but the issues of the name of country of export on the certificate and looks of its heading remain outstanding, since the Kosovo side insists on the use exclusively of the term “Republic of Kosovo”.
