Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 83rd Session

The Council of Ministers f BIH took unanimously a Regulation on Price Control pf drugs, ways of pricing and price reporting in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a view at lowering the costs of medicines in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Implementation of the Regulation will make considerable savings to health insurance funds of the Federation of BIH, Republika Srpska and Brčko District of BIH, as well to the citizens of BIH, who, as patients, pay high prices for medicines. Total savings to be made by application of the Regulation will amount to 10 per cent of medicines market value a year, or about KM 50 million, while the positive effects are expected after February 1, 2017, when the practical application of the Regulation will start.
The Council of Ministers of BIH tasked the agency for Medicines to make the first analysis by July 31, 2017 of all effects of the Regulation implementation, and to provide it to the Council of Ministers of BIH for consideration
The Regulation sets forth, among other things, ways of control and pricing of medicines and medicines price reporting in BIH, specifically setting maximum and minimum level of a wholesale margin and defining authorities competent for regulation thereof, as well as defining a maximum price of medicines along with the way of wholesale drugs prices in BIH.
BIH AND SERBIA BUILD JOINT BORDER-CROSSING AT BRTUNAC-LJUBOVIJA
The Council of Ministers defined and will forward to the BIH Presidency Proposal Basics for negotiations for conclusion of an agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of the Republic of Serbia on construction and setting-up a new joint border-crossing at Braunac-Ljubovija site, and proposed the Minister of Communications and Transport for the BIH signatory.
By constructing this border-crossing with an access road on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina a good cooperation of BIH and Serbia is being continued, after the two states agreed the realisation of the Drin
A bridge construction on the Drina River at Bratunac-Ljubovija site. The project is in the process of implementation based on the signed-to Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Serbia on construction of an inter-state bridge over the Drina _River, with the accompanying road facilities at Bratunac-Ljubovija site, which should be completed by the end of the next year.
