Council of Ministers of BIH Holds Its 46th Session Devoted to Census

The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted, upon a proposal of the Agency for Statistics of BIH, a financial plan for the census of Population, Households and Dwellings in Bosnia and Herzegovina In 2013, and formulated questions pertaining to citizenship, ethnic origin, religion and mother tongue. 

This way, the Council of Ministers of BIH took required decisions which were a precondition for the implementation of the Census this October.

The questions of ethnic/national origin, religion and mother tongue will be semi-open type of questions.

Questions on citizenship will presume obligatory answers as follows: Bosnia and Herzegovina; BIH and other state; other state; stateless; and a possibility of declaration on Entity nationality.

Codes will be developed after the census, and the single data base will register all answers.

According to the financial plan, gross cost of the Census will be KM 46,489,665.

The census logo will be “Census in BIH in 2013” on both letters (Latin and Cyrillic). The Census motto is “My Step to The Future”.

The Council of Ministers of BIH tasked Entity Geodetic Institutes to solve the remaining cartographic issues.
