Council of Ministers of BIH: Aiding Macedonia Recover after Natural Catastrophe

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at extraordinary session, took a decision to offer international assistance in form of protection and rescue, under which the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina gets an authorisation to start the required procedures for sending international assistance for protection and rescue to the Republic of Macedonia for assisting civilians hit by natural disaster. 

The assistance from the Federal Directorate for Civil Protection, which will send protection teams, will be in form of protection and rescue equipment, personal protection equipment and firefighting equipment. The mission will be assisted by 10 members of the Federal Directorate for Civil Protection and four firefighters.

The assistance will be send based on earlier signed Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Macedonia on cooperation in protection form natural and manmade disasters and response to assistance appeals send via the EU Civil Protection Mechanism .
