Council of Ministers Holds Its 68th Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH defined a Proposal Additional Protocol 3 to an Agreement on Amendment and Accession to the Central-European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA 2006). The purpose of the Additional Protocol 3 is a further liberalisation of trade in agricultural products between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania. 

The major benefit of the liberalisation of trade in agricultural products with Albania would go to BIH producers/exporters of sugar, who participate with 90% in total costs of exports of agricultural products to Albania.

Average expenditures paid in terms of customs to export of BIH agricultural products to Albania in 210-2012 were about KM 2 million annually, while average revenue to BIH Budget from import of agricultural products from Albania in the same period of time was just about KM 50,000 annually.

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations will provide the Proposal Additional Protocol to the Presidency of BIH for further procedure.
