COUNCIL OF MINSITERS ON PROBLEMS IN DAIRY SECTOR 

The Council of Ministers of BIH took note of Information of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations on the state of affairs and challenges in the dairy sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Having regard of the complexity of the situation in the BIH dairy sector, as well as a fact that it needs a coordinated action by competent authorities in BIH, the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers of BIH is tasked to arrange a meeting, on Tuesday , November 11, of  Council of Ministers of BIH and Entity Governments’ representatives on the issues of the dairy sector.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH, state-level Ministers of Foreign Trade and Economic Relation, Finance and Treasury and Foreign Affairs are to be invited, along with Entity Prime Ministers, Ministers responsible for agriculture in the Federation of BIH and Republika Srpska, as well as managers of Indirect Taxation Administration, Veterinary Office of BIH and Directorate for European Integrations  of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

TREATY ON STATE BORDER WITH MONTENEGRO DEFINED

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH defined a Proposal Treaty on state border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, which defines the state border on the fields, which will be demarcated within three years deadline from the date of effectiveness of the Treaty.

According to the Treaty, the state border runs form the border junction between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia, in the North, to border junction between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia, in the South.

Respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity, the two states promote bilateral relations, fulfil their commitments undertaken under the UN Chart and send a positive signal to the countries of the region, and European and global partners on readiness of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro to solve thor outstanding issues amicably.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs will provide the proposal treaty to the Presidency of BIH for further procedure.

 

COUNCIL OF MINISTERS INFORMED ON BELGRADE CONFERENCE AND BATISLAVA MEETING

 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of BIH dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija informed the Council of Ministers  of BIH on a Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Economy of the Višerad Group member county and the Western Balkans countries, held in Bratislava on October 31, 2014.

It was concluded that the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Ministers of F Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and Director of the Directorate for European Integrations should define concrete tasks in relation to commitments od BIH indicated in the information.

 

TRL 1 MILLION FOR ARMED FORCES OF BIH

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH defined Proposal Basics for initiating a procedure for negotiations on an agreement on military financial cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of the Republic of Turkey, along with Implementation Protocol on financial support in total amount of TRL 1 million.

The funds in amount of TRY 820,000.00 are intended for procurement of goods and services of the Turkish special-purpose industry for the needs of the Armed Forces of BIH, while the remainder of TRY 180,000.00 converted to US dollars is a grant amount.

The Ministry of Defence will provide the Proposal Basics to the Presidency of BIH, and the Minister of Defence is proposed as the BIH signatory.

 

 

 

COUNCIL OF MINISTERS ON RULING OF COURT IN STRASBOURG ON PAYMENT OF OLD HARD CURRENCY DEPOSIT SAVINGS

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted Information of the Office of Agent of the Council of Ministers of BIH before the European Court for Human Rights on a ruling of the European Court for Human Rights in the case “Ališić and Others against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, No. 600642/08.

Under the ruling, both Slovenia and Serbia are ordered to pay out old hard currency deposit savings to BIH citizens within a year under the equal conditions they applied to their own citizens.

 

CONSENT FOR APPOIMTENT OF MILITARY ATTACHÉ

 

The Council of Ministers of BIH, upon a proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, granted its consent to the appointment of Paul Marshall for military attaché of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the seat in Sarajevo.
