Council of Ministers Continues Assisting Flood-Threatened Areas

The Council of Ministers of BIH considered the current situation caused by floods in May 2014, as presented in the Ministry of Security Report on Disaster Aftermaths in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Protection Measures and Rescue od People and Protection of Material Goods. The Report will be up-dated on daily basis and provided to Ministries, which are in a constant coordination. 

Ministers informed the Council of Ministers on the activities they undertake continuously within their respective competences in order to assist endangered civilians in rehabilitation from the flood consequences.

The Secretariat-General is tasked to prepare, based on a discussion at the session, a set of conclusions in relation to tasks of each Ministry and other institutions in this emergency situation.

Conclusions, among others, list needed both activities for holding of an international donor conference and joints action of BIH, Croatia and Serbia towards the EU assistance funds and other IFIs’ funds.

The Council of Ministers recognised the Armed Forces of BIH for their efforts in rescue of people and material goods, and commended all citizens showing extreme solidarity in this newly-created situation.
