Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Sarajevo with President of the Senate of Ireland Denis O’Donovan, whom he informed on the foreign policy priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Chairman Zvizdić said that the European integrations and membership in NATO Alliance remain key priorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.  He added that through the implementation of European standards, we seek to create good business environment and put our resources into function of economic development. He stressed that the Council of Ministers of BIH, by handing over answers to the European Commission Questionnaire, fulfilled all its obligations from the European agenda. Chairman Zvizdić said that the progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in NATO integrations would give a considerable contribution to strengthening of peace in the region and creation of permanent political stability.

President of the Senate of Ireland O’Donovan underlined a full support of Ireland to BIH European road and getting of the candidate status. He said Bosnia and Herzegovina should continue with European integrations, the road that happens to be difficult, and which eventually pays out as it brings about positive transformation of economy in addition to political stability, as the Irish experience testifies.

Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH and Ireland should work on promotion of bilateral cooperation. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina should make use from transfer of positive practical experiences in SMEs development, tourism and putting of available resources into function of speedy economic development.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Ireland in Bosnia and Herzegovina Myles Geiran.
