Chairman Zvizdić with President of “Remembering Srebrenica” Foundation

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Sarajevo with Founder and President of the “Remembering Srebrenica” Foundation Waquar Azemi. 

Chairman Zvizdić thanked for the great support and contribution, which the Foundation gives to the memory to victims of genocide in Srebrenica.

At the meeting, Azemi thanked for support to the Foundation, and informed Chairman Zvizdić of plans to form the first international centre for learning on Srebrenica, aimed at awareness building on dangers of intolerance in the contemporary world. The Centre for learning on Srebrenica genocide will contribute to tolerance, inter-religious respect and awareness building on the universal values, though student and pupil visits, scholarships and though activities aimed at overcoming hatred, prejudices and fears.

Chairman Zvizdić commended the idea of founding the Centre for learning on Srebrenica genocide, saying that new generations must carefully examine and learn from this tragedy, so that it would never repeat anywhere. He said that the Centre will have enormous significance for strengthening of the memory, aimed at prevention of oblivion, which might be detrimental for the generations to come.
