He briefed the interlocutors of the current economic and political developments in BIH and the level of realisation of aims on the road to the European Union, and said that BIH is opted for acceleration of the integrations process. Chairman Zvizdić said that within the process of preparation of answers to additional questions of the European Commission in the process of preparation of an opinion to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s request for the membership in the EU, the last phase of the procedure is currently in the process, so he expects the answers to be submitted to the European Commission by the end of the week.
„We are fully committed to the European integrations, and our priority list contains the issues of stability and security, which are the basis for the political, social and economic prosperity, in addition to the fact that the European and NATO integrations are based on the rule of law and compliance to the law“, Chairman Zvizdić said to the meeting.
During the meeting, Chairman Zvizdić said that BIH is opted to further strengthening of the rule of law at all levels, as well as to overall reform processes.
They discussed the continuation of regional cooperation, and on that Chairman Zvizdić said BIH attaches a great importance to the improvement of good neighbourly relations, which is proved through BIH participation at regional initiatives.
Chairman Zvizdić stressed the importance of the EU support in managing migration flows in BIH, saying that BIH is committed to a joint European policy towards migrants.
The meeting was attended by head of the European Union Delegation in BIH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.
