Chairman Zvizdić Talks with OIA President

Chairman Zvizdić briefed the QUIA Director on the current economic and political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stressed that the Council of Ministers of BIH has clear priorities focused to reform processes, economic development and the European road of our country. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina works on the improvement of business environment, marks a constant economic growth, and is open for business people and business projects. He underlined the interest and readiness of BIH for an increase of volume of goods exchange with Qatar, as well as of the investments level. He noted the advantages of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country in the entrance hall of the EU, featured by large investment possibilities in the areas of energy, agriculture, tourism, metal and wood processing industries, together with a number of infrastructure projects for which partners are sought.
Chairman Zvizdić and the QIA Executive Director agreed that it would be good if the QIA would open its representative office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as, according to Chairman Zvizdić, it would bring a positive breakthrough in the economic relations between the two countries and incite businessmen and companies from Qatar to seek partners and do business in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the region,. He invited the Executive director Al Thani to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The QIA Executive Director announced a visit to take place soon of a QIA expert delegation, led by QIA Development and Investment Director Abdulah Aziz bin Ali Al Thani.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šatrović, Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Ismir Jusko, and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the State of Qatar Tarik Sadović.
Following the meeting, the delegation of the Council of Ministers of BIH visited the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.
