Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zivzdić talked in Sarajevo with Minister of Foreign Affairs f Hungary Péter Szijjartó on bilateral relations and the European integrations of BIH. 

The mutual relation were defined as good and friendly, while better traffic connection between the two countries, particularly  air and railway lines, was identified as something to receive attention, in order to increase the flow of people and merchandise and thereby boost economic cooperation and increase foreign exchange.

Chairman Zvizdić said the strategic priorities of BIH are the Euro-Atlantic integrations, economic development and rule fop law. He briefed Minister Szijjartó of the reform processes in BIH, stressing that both reforms and European way are interconnected processes. He expressed his expectations that the progress in fulfilment of NATO accession requirements will be recognised, to result in MAP activation by the end of this year.

Minister Szijjartó confirmed the support of Hungary to Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that the European way and getting closer to NATO Alliance would bring stability and prosperity to the whole region, and in that sense the Support of Hungary is unquestionable. He added that Hungary is very interested to promote tis relations and strengthen its ties with BIH, and in that context it is engaged at setting-up an air line between Sarajevo and Budapest. He emphasised that Hungary plans a special credit line to support joint ventures and Joint BIH and Hungarian companies’ participation at the third markets, and that the Government of Hungary secures 500 full scholarships for students form BIH at universities in Hungry.

Chairman Zivzdić thanked for the support, noting that the major current macroeconomic problem in our country is unemployment of young persons, and proposed credit lines should be used to address that problem too, so that young people would be motivated to stay in Bosnia and Hercegovina.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of Hungary in BIH József Négyesi.
