Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić talked in Sarajevo today with the UK Ministry of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Director-General for Political Affairs Richard Moore on the up-coming Western Balkans Summit to be held in London on July 9-10, within the Berlin Process.

Chairman Zvizdić commended the preparations made to date for the Summit, appreciating an in-depth and consultative approach to organisation of the event. He briefed Director Moore that the Council of Ministers of BIH in early June set-up a Coordination Team for all needed thematic preparations for as high quality as possible participation at the Prime Ministers convention. He emphasised that the Council of Ministers remains committed to regional cooperation and that Bosnia and Herzegovina will always have an active part and positive actor in all regional initiatives leading to peace, stability and economic prosperity.

Chairman Zvizdić welcomed the concept and the topics selected presented by the British Government, which, although very sensitive, are extremely important in order to make a move forward towards joint future by way of closing difficult chapters of our past, like missing persons issue and war crimes. He said that these topics, other than economy and security, are utterly relevant for improvement of bilateral relations and development of the stable region’s shared future. He added that the migrant issue became topical in a very short time, not only for the region, but for the EU, as well.

At the up-coming London Summit, other than Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo [1] and Bosnia and Herzegovina, participating will be also be eight Eu member-states: Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Poland
