Chairman Zvizdić Talks with Austrian Foreign Minister

The relations between the two countries were assessed as good and without outstanding issues. Chairman Zvizdić informed Minister Kneissl on reform processes and European road of BIH. He said that following the period of stagnation, this Council of Ministers of BIH started affirmative reform processes within the country and introduced a new energy into the European aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which resulted in successful completion of answers to the EC Questionnaire.
Minister Kneissl expressed a full support of Austria to reform processes, European road of BIH and enlargement policy of EU in view of the Western Balkans countries. She pointed out that as to the Western Balkans, Austria on supports territorial integrity of states, reconciliation, stability and building of democratic societies. She added that Austria has a special sensibility towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, given the historic ties and a fact that there are about 160,000 people from BIH living in Austria.
Chairman Zvizdić said Austria is important for BIH in every sense, economic, political, cultural and historic. He said that Austrian companies are the major investors to Bosnia and Herzegovina for a number of years now, and expects the positive trend to continue.
